An index to short stories written in or translated into English that have appeared in collections and selected periodicals. Indexes over 96,000 stories, with full text of over 4,000. Enables searching by author, title, subject, keyword, date, literary technique, source, or any combination; subject access includes theme, locale, narrative technique or device (such as surprise endings, dialect stories, parodies, story-within-a-story) and genre.
Sources
Indexes short stories published in more than 4,200 collections and anthologies, plus stories that appear in periodicals. The periodicals are those indexed in Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature and Humanities Index.
