And so without the respite derived from being at one and in [[harmony]] with [[nature]], you are buffeted in an [[artificial]] [[environment]], one that is overcharged with excitement and [[stimuli]].  This renders you more vulnerable.  Your [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrochemistry electro-chemical system] is on overdrive and you tend to [[fear]] more and see the worst.
