Sacrifice
RACHEL: Father Abraham, I have one that I have been wanting to ask you for quite awhile. In your mortal life did you have a son named Isaac? (Yes.) And was the request made by God for you to sacrifice your son Isaac as a test on you?
ABRAHAM: No, only within my own mind I was led to believe through a series of dreams, events and traditions that Father required the ultimate sacrifice as proof of my love. This was my own misguided understanding. Today we have many misguided individuals who still believe that their greatest treasures must be sacrificed in order to receive God's love and return love to God. Father has never asked us to sacrifice anything that would hurt us so severely, but many mortals believe that their adversities are just that, sacrifices made to pay debts or atone for sins. You are in understanding of my words, Rachel?
RACHEL: Yes, you bet and I am very thrilled with your answer because I didn't think the Father would really make that request of anyone. So when it gets right down to the bible story then it is just partially authentic?

Atonement, Communion
CALVIN: Abraham, were you around in my life when that same thing kind of happened to me? I got sidetracked in my search for truth with one of these self proclaimed "this is the way and the only way" people. You are probably aware of that individual. In my search 'where is God', I remember the scripture saying, " If a man can't leave his father, mother, son or daughter for my sake he is not fit for my kingdom." I understand the correct meaning of that now, meaning put the Father's work ahead of everything else. But I thought that meant to do the same test that you did. I remember the day when I thought I said good-bye to my children for the last time. I wonder if that even came close to maybe what you experienced? I know it was a very tough decision and yet how beautiful it was when I realized that I was in error in that thinking.
ABRAHAM: I am aware, yes. This was somewhat similar to my own experience. The mind is somewhat fallible when in pain, emotional or otherwise. The mind when blocked from communion with Father attempts to reason on what it thinks is logical and many times mortals believe they are deserving of punishment for wrongs committed. Atonement is still believed to be mans greatest process in which you believe to be cleansed free from sin and within God's favor. In an attitude of observing and reflection you are opening yourselves to immediate open communion with Father. You are in reality co-creating your divine destiny. You are in unbroken communion. To trust the Father and know that all is taken care of is to be aligned with His will. To be at ease with Father's decisions is to receive immediate answers to questions you are asking. To be in this unbroken communion is to know that Father asks nothing from you except for your love. This is an easy request knowing the Father's goodness. Are we in agreement there?
