Thank you Jerry! That was one of the options I considered, and I do think it is probably what was intended. I am glad you have underscored that.

Hello Judy-

Thank you for your thoughts! It reads continuance now because [http://nordan.daynal.org/wiki/index.php?title=2001-05-12-The_Part_To_The_Whole&diff=107326&oldid=107325 it was changed] after Jerry underscored my initial thoughts. However, I am open to other suggestions, and of course, the most authoritative contribution would be from a representative of the Arcadia TeaM. In the absence of such, we will have to use our best judgment, but I am certain the intent was not 'continence'.  ;-)

Thank you Rob.  On some levels, tho' countenance works very very well for me as a good fit.  Where is more of this transmission, please, as it is most excellent...?

You're welcome Craig! Yes, I see what you mean, but the context seems to ask for something suggesting continuing life on this planet. I have added your comments to the discussion page for further reference.

Would any here take a guess as to what the correct word should be here in the place of "continence" and let me know what you think?

Thanks,

Rob

enc: continence?

Do not be soft spoken to the greed and arrogance which challenges to bring you and your country down. Do not stand by and tell your superiors when you arrive on the mansion worlds that you couldn't do anything, that you had no choice but to give in to the status quo, to uphold your face in the great pretense which characterizes your age of materialism and disregard for human continence (?) and planetary life. - JarEl (4th paragraph from bottom)

Hi Rob, how's about continuance?--human beings continuing along with the planetary life? JL

Hello Judy-

Thank you for your thoughts! It reads continuance now because it was changed after Jerry underscored my initial thoughts. However, I am open to other suggestions, and of course, the most authoritative contribution would be from a representative of the Arcadia TeaM. In the absence of such, we will have to use our best judgment, but I am certain the intent was not 'continence'. ;-)

How about countenance? A bit subtle but it works.

Rob wrote:Wed, Jun 19, 2013 at 8:08 PM

Hello Craig-

Thank you for sharing! That is an interesting thought, but in the context, it does seem that the intent was inferring what could be called "sustainability". Obviously, that is quite a vocal departure from the sound of "continence".

When things like this come up, I strive to represent the intent of the source that is ascertained by careful consideration of the context. In such cases where a change is made, reference is made in the discussion page for future reference.

Gratefully,

Rob
