Hello Dan-

It was great being with you and the others, and I hope Marc was able to capture the lesson. If so, I am sure he will be sending it along soon. In the interim, can you tell me anything about the Nashville TeaM Conference held here in 1998? The record shows only one lesson received, and I am thinking others probably exist, but even if not, any additional information you could share would enrich the record for posterity's sake. For instance, where it was held here, who came, what topics were discussed, etc.

Thanks,

Rob

Hey Rob,

I've copied Marc on this email so he will know you hope to get the recording from him.

I remember the conference so well in some ways and not so well in others.

I believe Rebecca Bynum took the lead in organizing the conference which was held at the Convention center in downtown Nashville. My memory is that we had a good turnout - probably over a 100 attendees.

But my memories, unfortunately (for your purposes), are more personal in nature. I remember that Joe, Marc's Brother played a wonderful set of music. This is the band that Joe and Marc had with their buddy, Hags, on bass. They were fabulous and perfect for the conference. Opening for JMB were the Pierces, two beautiful sisters who also performed. I remember that old goat, Roland, could hardly control himself (on the front row) and I was actually fearful that he might sexually assault one of the sisters! Seriously, he was in heat. Fred Harris finally got him to calm down.

I think I was in charge of entertainment for the event. I sang a couple of songs as did Hal Bynum.

I also remember this was when Carol met Jim Evans, who had come over from Memphis to attend. They began a serious relationship and Jim became a regular attendee at our weekly sessions at Hal Bynum's, driving from Memphis each week. But that relationship didn't work out and we are no longer in communication with Jim. I'm not even sure he's still alive.

I do not remember much about the transmitting. I seem to remember asking a Melchizedek a rather awkward question about dying frogs (as a sign of environmental damage). Now I wish I had asked a better question. You don't get many chances to converse with a Melchizedek.

I suggest that you contact Rebecca or, maybe, even better, David Schlundt <David G Schlundt <d.schlundt@Vanderbilt.Edu>. David was our scribe and he was the most organized of the bunch so I think he would be a good bet.

We have also lost contact with David and I don't know his present orientation regarding the TeaM work. But, if anyone can help you find lost transmissions, it's probably Dave.

I realize, now, that conference was probably the high water mark of Nashville's involvement with the teaching mission. We had folks from all over the country attend. But, since we were tasked with hosting the conference, I really don't remember much about the reasons we held it. Maybe (probably) we were hoping for a major event, perhaps a materialization. Mostly, we wanted to connect with others who were sharing our experience of contact with an invisible teacher. In that regard, it was a big success.

Carol Caldwell might have other info, too. She would certainly have some memories to share.

Peace, DT

Thanks Dan! This is rich. If you don't mind, I will put this into the discussion page for Nashville TeaM Conference and add to it as others may offer more information. I will extract the basic data that would be suited for an article on the event.--rdavis 18:27, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
