Opening

Will: The love of God surrounds us. The love of God enfolds us. The power of God protects us. Wherever two or more are gathered in His name, His presence abides.

Greetings, this is your teacher Will, who loves you.

Materialism, Change

I have listened with interest to your discussions tonight, and while they appear secular, upon close inspection, we can see that there is a spiritual component and lesson to be learned. While all of the commentary has been centered around the numerous social issues of the day, it is also apparent that in many areas of your lives, people are questioning the assumptions upon which policies have been made, as such there is an active seeking of truth.

Lesson

This seeking, this change, these opportunities for decisions are all conducive to a discussion which includes the spiritual aspects of the structure of your society. Indeed, in this day and time, many people question the value of the pattern by which they live their lives. Many have selected paths which on the surface, appear to be beneficial to their well being, when in fact, and in practice, the desire for, for instance, larger accommodations, more expensive vehicles of transportation, and other material items which stretch the financial resources of a family, have turned out to be stress inducing and a negative influence upon the growth of the family. Indeed, many people are rethinking their lives and are searching for something which has been to date elusive, for more recently in your history, the value that has been emphasized is a material goal value and at this point people striving for goods are seeing the hollowness of their goals, especially once they have achieved those goals.

All of this bodes well for the spiritual upliftment of this planet. People are not complacent to stay where they are, they are ready to hear of spiritual matters, they are being influenced unconsciously and consciously to consider the spiritual component in their lives. We in the Teaching Mission and others, have been actively encouraging a personal relationship that each person on this planet may have with their Creator. This encouragement is not limited to those who believe, but is for all people. We are hopeful that those who follow this path will show the fruits of the path outwardly so that those who are seeking will be more inclined to try it themselves. And of course, there is no cost for stepping onto this path, there are no priests that must act as intermediaries, there's no tithing that is required, there is only interest and a inner desire to follow such a path. Indeed, the Father who resides within each individual on this planet, is nudging, cajoling, and attempting to influence every person on this planet, to create the hunger for the truth that will lead them on their path to the Father.

Opportunity, Influence

The gist of this lesson is that while things may appear on the surface to be chaotic, and while injustice and intolerance, hatred and fear, are indeed rampant on parts of your planet, we have great hope and find that there is opportunity in the chaos to influence those who are seeking. And we ask each of you to help us by taking the faith step and living the lessons we have imparted. If we can get you to do that, if we can connect you personally with the Father, and I encourage you to do so, then by your example, you will influence more people than you can possibly imagine. So again this week we would ask that you spend some time with the Father on a daily basis and make an effort to look for opportunities for those who are seeking, say a kind word, open a door, give your biggest smile, allow the love of the Father to pass through you to those that you encounter, and by doing your small part, you will assist in not only your own growth, but perhaps in lighting a fire in someone who is in need of that service.
