Opening

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. It is such a blessing for me to have this time with you. I am grateful to Father, for His arrangements are perfect in every way. I may not always understand the mind of God, but I am comforted with the fact that I can know His heart. With Him we are made to feel more of life. Father provides for us meaning in all the details of daily living and even though we may sometimes dwell in misery, we know there is always light at the end of the tunnel and a plan and purpose.

I am MARY, again honored to be with you, my friends. I am also inspired by our Master’s message of last week. It seems to be easier to be distracted by the likes of materialism than to be attracted by spirit duties going unnoticed. The spiritual life is like the physical body, in that if you don’t exercise, you find your muscles atrophied. In an unfit state, it is much more difficult to get up and get moving.

Lesson

Jesus taught us that service work was always the right thing to do, yes, but also the act of service work was keeping us spiritually in tune. We can see that those moments in our lives when we were most withdrawn or self-absorbed, were when we had not energy for anyone else. Last week Abraham spoke of the physical sensation we can feel when connecting to spirit. To reach beyond oneself in the act of service is healing in mind and body. In the exercise of self-forgetfulness we are learning to dwell less on the insignificance of life and make each moment mean more.

We always want to serve because it is an act we can perform out of love for our Father. On the other hand, we can feel comforted by the fact that the more we reach beyond ourselves, the more we are ministered to. I found this to be especially true as I was allowed to watch the Master day after day serve one person after another without fatigue. He never for one moment thought of His personal benefit and yet He was benefited by good physical and mental health. The apostles on the other hand, were a good example in contrast to Him where there was underlying selfish motivation, completely understood of course. History has served us as a wonderful teacher to show that it is literally true, the more we give, the more we get.

I have seen a few of you become un-centered with the stress of daily living and I am in complete understanding. I would recommend that you take small steps in simple acts of kindness to find your spiritual center and then you can take larger steps from there. Do not allow your minds to be a burden. In your efforts made toward simple service, you can feel the lifting of heaviness from your minds and it is truly amazing what an amazing doctor our Father is.

Closing

For the days ahead find at least one small act of kindness you can do every day. Note how the blood pressure regulates, the energy levels increase and your desire to exercise the spiritual muscles will return. That is all for this evening. Know that if you should have need of us, all you have to do is call. Know that we are standing by. Our love is growing for you each. From Abraham and myself, until next time, shalom.
