Frank: “Alice and I have your questions. However, firstly, let us be clear about this, and let us be frank: It was you who asked for us to be your teachers. We did not ask for you to be our students.

“As Cherubim, generally busy overseeing the activities of the smaller ones among you, the younger ones, the littlies, Alice and I could be considered to have a somewhat more productive task. We are advisers to our kind. We are amongst the therapists of the celestial realm. And since your questions refer to human behavior it is appropriate that we now speak.

“In our conversing we do not talk about sane, or troubled, or insane. We talk about realness. There are degrees of realness. Balanced individuals, in your terms, are to us more real and aglow in the spiritual sense; the unbalanced individuals, as you may identify them, are dull and less real. As human beings most of you can only possess a moderate degree of realness. You are at the very beginning of a long, long career of soul growth in aiming for Paradise and the Presence of the Father. You are at the very first starting point, so you are only still real to a minor degree.

“Many years -- decades, centuries -- of study of the mortals on this planet allow us to understand, much more accurately than do your professionals, the quirks, the habits, the good and bad points about you as individuals. Supremely skilled as we now are, unlike you, it is possible for us to profile and understand you to a much greater depth of your characters. You, as individuals, have only a very narrow view of other personalities. It is a very limited view, and it is therefore that you will, on many occasions, notice only those particular backward traits that you yourself dislike and must still overcome.

“It is at most times important for you to overlook the behavior of another that may particularly aggravate you, because in all un-admitted truth and honesty, these are likely to be the very bad habits, which you yourself have acquired through genetics, through your upbringing, through your environment, in thoughtlessness and selfishness.

“Specifically, for you all, as you approach the New Year, we request you do try to be more tolerant of others’ perceived inadequacies, yes, now, and in the year to come. This is Frank, being frank. We both bid you two our goodbyes for now.”
