Opening

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I am feeling such serenity from this loving bunch of people this evening. I find that in the calmness it is easier to transmit the weekly message. I am so happy to have gotten to know each of you and your personality type and your basic attitude toward life. You help me to deal with certain difficulties with various mortals. In knowing your struggles and viewing how you handle them, I learn what it is like to be a mortal in this day and age.

Lesson

I believe that you each learn a great deal from one another that helps you in your communications with others. Mortal life is so much about communication and having understanding, said Jesus, “The more you understand your brother, the more you love him.” As growing mortals, you can see how your self-esteem would play a large part in your lives. Those who find little value in themselves tend to think others have not care for them. Mortals who have a balanced esteem are more open to believe that others have their best interest at heart.

We are learning to tame the ego and unfortunately, it sends us a great deal of messages about who we are. In this evolving world the ego doesn’t work as it was planned to in the first place. The ego was designed to protect early man in the wilderness. The ego told man to continue to procreate and help the species survive, so the ego was then somewhat of a protector. Now we find many mortals egos have been groomed to embrace selfishness and to chase those ideas that feed the ego, then they wonder why there is still the feeling of turmoil within and a burning un-fulfillment.

You, in the Teaching Mission, stand on the mountaintop and can see all directions. You can actually view the sea of everything. In these tumultuous waters there are many ideas that individuals are grabbing onto to stay afloat or have themselves carried to a new shore. You, with the book and hours of study, hours of sitting and listening to me, and disseminating a lesson every week, stand on the mountaintop. You know you have many choices and many directions and the ego would have you jump into that sea of confusion and grab onto something that will make you feel good about being alive.

The trait you possess as a family is your love for truth. You demand it. Nothing else will do. I am so touched by this faith and steadfastness. You know from experience, swimming in that sea of everything temporary ego fulfillment may come. Newness may brighten your attitude for a while, then there is that flicker of light from the Spirit of Truth and you are once again back on that mountaintop.

We can dwell in the midst of materialism and worry about things that are temporary and food for the ego to lift your attitude for a time, but eventually you feel sick from the sweet emptiness and crave something more nutritional and filling. So what are we to do upon that mountaintop, where the air is clear and the truth is apparent? Our tasks from Father become more obvious and we are helping other brothers and sisters emerge from that sea of everything to experience the clarity of truth.

Closing

Our lesson is short this evening, but our friendship and love is never ending. Always do I pray for your best. Mary sends her regards and we both send you off with our love. Until next time, shalom.
