Lesson

Bzutu: “Your tendency to analyze and verify everything we say, can be a blessing and a handicap, both. We need to deal with you, and treat you, in a specific way. More than anything, we need to have patience and introduce new subjects with a great deal of care. This is Midwayer Chief Bzutu. I greet those present at this gathering of mortals, and I welcome the Midwayers and Angels that surround you right now.

“We can make this a broad outline and ‘clean it up’ afterwards. We have done this many times before, so I’ll come back, whenever . . . (Our parrot often goes ‘off her brain’ with so many celestial personalities around. The bird doesn’t miss much, but she can disrupt some sessions).

“The term Mentori, or Mentors, is for your convenience only. As always, in the local universe language we speak, the names vary, from what you are given, to suit us. In basis the name is derived from those who firstly teach each other, before teaching those not belonging to their group. The Mentori are capable of using their minds to learn and advance as a collective group, and what one knows, the others will ‘absorb’ by a method akin to osmosis. They are also Teachers, but that is secondary to their collective advancement, their group, and individual progress; the strengthening of the entire group.

“They will, and do, teach us; the Midwayer Healers and others, but not necessarily will they in all instances be the hands-on healers to you. They bring to the existing healers of this planet a wealth of knowledge, a wealth of information, a wealth of new techniques.

“Your interest in the function of their minds can only be explained to the degree that you are humanly capable of comprehending this. Therefore, I bring to your attention the collective mind of birds, that fly in formation, that ascend and dive and turn with a common mind. Likewise, a school of fish has the gift of a collective mindal endowment, which impinges on all minds, and so they can swim fast and close together, packed almost, without ever touching each other. You are aware of the hundredth-monkey phenomenon, only similar, not the same. You are also aware of how two or more people, who are really close, can on occasions, out-of-the-blue share their minds and ideas.

“You also comprehend how it is possible for me to reach out, and share my mind with you, as I focus on your speech centers. In our instances a different aspect of a different mind -- the lowest of the morontia mind -- is occasionally used. And so, with the Mentori, a very advanced mindal endowment, or gift you are entirely unfamiliar with, is constantly functioning. It is fully capable of being used by a large number of different species, and it is generally a specialty of this universe’s higher realms. Again, it is a special endowment that allows all in the Mentori Group to interact, that allows all to progress, with an ever growing intellectual capacity, because of that specific endowment.

“For you, mortals, as you ascend ‘on your way beyond this earthly terrain you now occupy,’ you will find that as you settle on the Morontia Worlds, you will function in groups, and you will also be capable of ‘impinging upon, and sponging off,’ one another’s minds in ever-larger groups of students and teachers, as you share and accelerate your capacity for learning, advance spiritually, and do away with your need for privacy.

“This is as far as I will go to explain to you how the collective Mentori Mind works. This is Midwayer Chief Bzutu. I thank you for lasting the course with me, despite the extraordinary noises in this cramped environment. We bid you all goodnight. We send our love to all who will take in our message of this evening. Adieu.”

George: “Thank you Chief.”
