Apostolic Party, sometimes called the apostolic corps or apostolic family, refers to the immediate followers of Jesus. Initially it was composed of the twelve apostles with Andrew as their chief who subsequently worked alongside the apostles' counterparts from among the followers of John the Baptist of whom Abner was the chief spokesperson. After their first preaching tour of Galilee, a "New School of Prophets" was formed to instruct believers. Of the more than one hundred evangelists trained during this time that seventy gospel teachers were later ordained. Then during their third preaching tour, the daring decision of its time was made to add the Women's Evangelistic Corps where Mary Magdalene became their prominent spokesperson.
