About

The Press is one project of the Daynal Institute to assist in fostering exploration of the spiritual counterpart of advancing material knowledge and temporal wisdom. As such, the scope of the Press includes work across a range of subjects in the Humanities and Sciences to explore the limitless range of facts, meanings, and values implicit in the question of “who are we” as human beings to have taken upon ourselves the name- homo sapiens -the wise and knowing one.

The Press is a web-integrated endeavor embracing the Internet as a primary distribution network and Open Source applications as the most effective tools for creative collaboration. Consequently, while the Press makes provision for the physical production and distribution of discrete media products in various text, audio, or video formats for purchase through resellers, these resources may be found freely available in the Nordan Corpora where readers can be referred directly to related material on the World Wide Web that is a material extension of our shared endowment of cosmic mind.

Editorial

The editorial work of the Press is conducted on a volunteer basis applying our resources to long range projects often requiring a broad scale of collaboration over many years. Nonetheless, we welcome individual projects that are consonant with the purpose of fostering a consciousness of our spiritual nature to illumine "the spiritual counterpart of advancing material knowledge."

We make our work freely available in the Nordan Corpora on the World Wide Web where it can be linked directly to any related work offered to the public via the Internet. We also utilize extensive trading relationships to facilitate commercial distribution of our physical products.

Scriptorium

The Daynal Scriptorium is a private workspace for discussions of Authors, Readers and Editors contributing in various ways to the Nordan Corpora whose articles and discussion pages are otherwise available for public review.

All volunteers work as seems appropriate to each person. Persons interested in contributing to this work are encouraged to apply for membership The Daynal Scriptorium here . Your application will be reviewed, and if accepted, we will gladly welcome you.

Marketing

Associates of the Press possess an extensive range of experience with the marketing strategies of traditional commercial and academic publishers that rely so heavily on a culture of 'push' to force sales of unwanted product that too often is simply used for decoration and then returned. We find more sustainable the culture of 'pull' using the Internet as a primary distribution network and electronic communications as the best medium for circulating material to stimulate sales in the appropriate audience. In this way, the unique gravity of each work will define the extent to which we employ a network of publicists and sales professionals in an efficient and rewarding manner.
