STREAMING MOTION OF GALAXIES
+
+
When the cosmic background radiation of the entire sky was surveyed in 1977, the
+
radiation was shifted toward the red end of the spectrum on one side of the sky, and toward
+
the blue end in the other. The entire Milky Way was "streaming" across the sky in a motion
+
not related to the expansion of the Universe at a rate of 700 Kilometers per second.
