2005-12-05-Your Needs and Capabilities

Elaine: "Where do I fit in? How can I help? I want to do something, but I feel helpless and useless right now, like a little child just learning to tie her shoes, I want to scream in frustration at my own inadequacies!"
Bzutu: "The first thing to consider is the reason why you create your own barriers, time and time again, when in fact none exist. Would Michael have placed you in the care of a powerful Midwayer (Mathew) if you would not be useful to the Correcting Time? Your path is well lit, and there are no dark shadows where evil can hide. So why are you afraid to take your first steps?
"Do you hear the noisy little bird that is singing so loudly outside your window? He is unafraid, as he does what is necessary to survive. Does the Creator not supply the needs of this tiny bird? How much more will he supply for your spiritual needs? Yes, it does bring to mind the words of Christ Michael spoken so long ago: ‘Trust Father, for He knows your needs and your capabilities’. So be patient with yourself, and with others, while you continue with the lessons that are provided for you."
Elaine: "How do I begin my spiritual training again? I feel so sluggish and awkward now."
Bzutu: "You will begin, slowly at first. Practice Stillness without guilt and distraction. All matters of human concern can be suspended for a time, can they not? Will ten, twenty or thirty minutes; your time spent in stillness matter in the outcome of the subject of your wandering mind? [Affirmative] So I say to you, relax without guilt and put aside your human responsibilities, needs and fears for a time. Relax in stillness with the intent of allowing the Father’s love to soothe and energize you, and as you relax, your direction will come.
"It might surface as a lesson from your Teachers, joyful communion with the Creator, or peace and serenity in another realm.
"Elevate this thought for you to realize that ‘all things are possible’, for this is a universe filled with endless possibilities. Dwell on this fact, and meditate on its meaning. A childhood dreamer such as yourself should enjoy its implications.
"You are a bright little speck of light that will continue to grow brighter with each passing day. You are doing well and you are traveling safely on your path. Lift your spirits towards the heavens, and rejoice in the light of a brand new day.
"Adieu, my dear little friend."

Bzutu: "My dear little friend, as the tears of emotion form in your eyes, I touch your heart with much love and affection. I will continue to work with you and George for the rest of your human lives. You have now become part of this progress team, and we all welcome you as an addition to the mortal contingent of the team. There is much to do, the work is endless, but it is not without its considerable rewards.
"We, the United Midwayers are ancient by human standards, and well aware of the fact that spiritual and social changes in the vastly different Urantia populations occur only very slowly. Therefore, we were created to be ever-so-patient by nature, although we now recognize the early signs of ‘spring’ on this world with joy and anticipation.
"A new season of spiritual growth is dawning. We have made it through the bitter winter of ignorance and fear, and the world is becoming brighter each day as new minds and hearts become open to the love that emanates from the Creator of All.
"Relax in the peaceful knowledge that you are very much loved by the One who has no beginning and no end. Remember this truth when the small problems of the day grow large in your mind, and begin to take on a life of their own.
"You are his precious child! Take a moment to appreciate what this means, and meditate on this until the meaning is scribed upon your heart, for then you will realize that your future is secure—a reason for fear no longer."

Bzutu: "There are board meetings to attend, revisions and reports to be handed in, forward planning sessions to be attended, and yet I am here with you, for a time.
"Like you, we take delight in a plan coming to fruition, and giving us approximately what we set out to achieve, and like it is in your world, some of the most cleverly conceived projects may go astray. We make our plans with the greatest of care as input is acquired from all quarters, and high-speed communication allows us to collect thousands upon thousands of bits of data from the Morontia Cherubim to the Archangels and beyond.
"This is our life, this is our work, and this is what we are about. We are Urantia’s United Midwayers. Now to answer your question: We do not often know in advance what particular achievements anyone is going to chalk up to his or her credit in terrestrial life, or in their lives, for those functioning as a group. There are other places, other beings, even some impersonal beings that are in touch with the future, whilst we mostly deal with sheer reckoning, much experience, and our reliance on guidance.
"And so, as it once was, with just one thousand, one hundred and eleven of us on this planet, one might suggest, only the most urgent of tasks had ever been taken care of anywhere on the globe. Yes! It always was a matter of priorities, but in these days of the Correcting Time, there is respite for many of you humans, who in the past would have been neglected, and who at present are cared for. And so the incidence of so-called miracles that are coming to your attention will increase, more and more.
"So what is the worth of a human life? That is a question easily answered. Each life is of inestimable value in itself, and in addition it has value in what is learned, the spiritual progress that is made, and if and when it impacts on the lives around it, the environment, the future of medicine, science, yes, psychology, teaching, art, commerce, politics and family life, and more, yes, more. However, the length of a human life is not necessarily all that significant, for if progress lags on terra firma it can be made up for on the Mansion Worlds.
"We, the Midwayers, follow orders. We may well be instructed to save one man who seemingly ‘makes no waves’ as it concerns progress, but his son or grandson yet unborn may be the contributor in time still distant. We could well be ordered to heal the young woman who will be the great-grandmother of the intellectual child, who will find the world at her feet through her insight and actions. Long lived as we are, we see that pattern repeated throughout the ages. We simply trust in universal business being as usual—seeming chaos, but well ordered—pandemonium at times, yet ‘coming together’ like the most brilliant of stage scripts in a professional performance.
"For you who ‘made our acquaintance’ just yesterday, and ‘say your fare-thee-wells’ tomorrow’, have confidence in the Creator Father’s overall plan that nothing is random, all is foreseen, all subjects are taught, and all care is taken in the here and the hereafter, and whenever you must question, ‘Why me?’
"This is Midwayer Chief Bzutu bidding a fond au revoir to my co-worker of some years, and all who will study this lesson in trust."
