An idea is a form crafted by self-conscious mind through a process of reflection. Human capability to contemplate ideas is associated with the ability of reasoning, self-reflection, and the capacity to apply intellect, intuition, inspiration, etc.. Ideas may be developed into formal concepts through systematic evaluation as a means for expressing knowledge in science or philosophy.
