Raymond Geuss, a Reader in the Department of Philosophy, University of Cambridge, is one of the finest scholars of 19th and 20th century German philosophy. To date he has published four books, of which one is a collection of his essays. They are The Idea of Critical Theory: Habermas and the Frankfurt School; Morality, Culture, and History; Public Goods, Private Goods; and History and Illusion in Politics. Two of his books, Politik und Gluck and Outside Ethics are forthcoming.
