There has been a disturbing, rapid [[degradation]] of the [[moral]] fiber and general ruggedness of people in recent decades, especially in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American North America]. But then you spoil the ground you have gained with further petulant remarks, calling people "mealy-mouthed," and other pejorative terms like that.
