As he turned his face to [[Jerusalem]] he experienced the range of [[human]] [[emotion]]: [[anticipating]] the anguish, the [[shame]], the [[betrayal]], and even the inevitable [[crucifixion]]. He attempted a few times to forewarn his [[apostles]] but they were virtually clueless as to the [[meaning]] of the events that were to come to pass.
