The Urantia Book is an anthology of 196 "papers" written mostly between 1928 and 1935 by superhuman personalities whose titles are appended to their respective essays.

The Urantia Book is an anthology of 196 "papers" written mostly between 1928 and 1935 by celestial personalities whose titles but generally not their names are appended to their respective essays.

The humans into whose hands these papers were delivered are now deceased. The means by which the papers were materialized was is not clearly understood.

The humans with whom these celestial being worked to write this document are now deceased, and the means by which the papers were written is not understood even by the few persons working directly with the "subject through whom these communications" were presented. Nonetheless, current research is beginning to identify the apparent human sources used in this undertaking.

 

The contents are a compilation of some of the best thinking from more than 1,000 human authors writing between the first century and the early 20th century, edited and sometimes combined with information and commentary by the "first revelatory commission".
