EFTS (Electronic Full Text Sources)

EFTS directs patrons to "searchable" encoded texts, where one finds added value through semantic indexing and a variety of search functions. Examples include American Film Scripts Online, Diderot's Encyclopédie, English Poetry, Italian Women Writers, the Patrologia Latina Database, North American Women's Letters and Diaries, Thesaurus Linguae Graecae, and more.

We provide links to some central Web sites which collect and index texts such as Project Gutenberg, but our general policy has been only to link directly to "searchable" texts.

See also tabs on the Library's Research Guides for more subject specific information or visit the Special Collections Research Center for primary sources.
