Michael,

You will note that I have now set up the Index page along with the required categorization to make it part of the larger category entitled The Teachings of Jesus while a link to the Index appears now on the Title Page of TOJ as well. Before further work on these details, let's revisit the methodology of the project as it relates to this first (alphabetically) topic.

It appears as though these questions are rhetorical devices used by Jesus to motivate his followers than questions posed to him by seekers of truth. Also, while the literal word 'acceptance' appears in the first reference, the discourse does not seem to relate well to what is generally regarded as the 'topic' of acceptance. As for the second discourse, the term itself does not appear nor is it easy to identify the teaching as related to acceptance as much as it does to the cultural inertia of tradition.

What do you think?

Rob,

Questions of both kinds were used, and it's a first draft. I'm delighted to revisit and revise. While the text is pretty finely tuned, the index is but a rough draft. I'm going through the text again at present, and then intend to work through the index from start to finish. If you had a hankering to take a crack at the index, that would be cool. What are your thoughts on the problems you've pointed out above?

In relation to the pages you created for the Topical Index I think there terrific. I wonder if the links you created in the questions might be better placed in the text to keep the questions clean and simple, with only the link at the end to the text. Also, some indication at the beginning of each question, either a number, a dash, or something visual to show it's a new question might be helpful.

What do you think?

Michael
