The Beloved One: “Let us begin with the statement that it is very difficult for imperfect beings, such as you mortals, to at all times be in a perfect state of harmony. A state of perfect harmony is not something that is innate in human beings, although it is one of the most worthy goals to achieve, and this state will be achieved once you have reached the ultimate goal of perfection. The eternal command God gives to each of His children is ‘to become perfect, even as God is perfect.’

“I well know that there are humans who have difficulty with the name, God, but truly dear ones, to God it does not matter what He is called, as long as people call on Him. As well, God is neither a he nor a she. God is above and beyond gender. It is only for the ease of conversation that we name the Supreme Pure Being, God.

“Having explained that nomenclature once more, let us now spend a few thoughts on harmony. Harmony is what all people would like to enjoy as this is part of inner peace. At times it can be elusive when everything around you seems to be in turmoil, and humans are so easily affected and distracted by the outer turmoil in their lives. Many have problems dealing with their inner turmoil, when at times ‘a fire of discontent or even malcontent’ rages within them. It may be smoldering at first, but it can blow up under stress. Sometimes it is a feeling of hopelessness which makes people feel troubled, alone in the world, and thus inner harmony remains an elusive commodity. There are people who very rarely experience an inner harmony. They are forever seeking their soul satisfaction in the outer world, never realizing that true harmony can only be found within. Often they busy themselves to chase after an unreality, as they do not train themselves to become real in the true sense of the word.

“Harmony, true harmony, is being at peace with yourself having forgotten any wrong and any ill done unto you, or by you unto others. This can only be had through forgiveness, which is an inseparable twin with harmony. It is living in a state of constant forgiving and forgetting so a deeper harmony is obtained. This calms the mind and settles the nervous system, so the material body can function optimally. To attain this much sought-after state of inner harmony, you need first to be exposed to a lot of disharmony to learn that this quality, as everything in life which crosses your path is a lesson by which you can test yourself as to how far you have come in self-discipline. Sometimes you may think that you are gaining ground in this area and then a trigger will be presented so you can learn a deeper sense of harmony, as this is needed to lead you ever deeper into this reality.

“Inner harmony brings a great deal of true happiness, because it is a sign that the soul is growing into greater maturity, which is an ideal estate. It means that you are able to conquer self and rise above the pettiness of self and others. It means that you are learning to do away with childish things and games, and grow more into the adult you are destined to become. True maturity has nothing whatsoever to do with age. It is an inner sign of your growing in spirit, for this is true maturity. It is a sign to the celestials that you can conduct yourself like a worthy child of God. It is in the daily duties done. It is in your daily exhibiting the fruits of the spirit in loving service, in forgiving tolerance, in merciful treatments meted out to all, whether human or animal. It is an ongoing living in mindfulness and gratefulness, to attain that state of grace which gives a soothing peace to the soul.”
