Teacher: “The problems, the catastrophes – many times caused by yourselves – are many times necessary to motivate you in order to make choices between good and evil. Today, you see the consequences of your actions. Today, all will start to realize that you have some influence over what is happening in the world. The oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is making you ask about alternative energy. However, how many people – right here where the disaster took place – have decided to reduce their energy requirements? How many people are walking more? How many are turning of the air conditioner of their vehicles in order to save fuel? Don’t you realize that the high consumption of oil is what is keeping it as the main source of energy? Don’t you realize that as long as the demand is there someone will want to sell it?

“All of you have some guilt is this issue. If everyone decided to reduce their energy requirements by half, the positive impact over the economy and the environment would be noticeable in the short term. However, few would want to leave their comfort zone. Those who are getting financial benefits don’t want to let them go. Those, who in one way or another profit from the resources of this planet, don’t want to worry about the consequences. It is better to keep ourselves in the shade, cool with our air conditioners in the summertime, than to think of the damage we are doing to the planet.

“Very few will make the necessary changes. However, when the resources are depleted, when oil and its byproducts have reached exorbitant prices, the majority will be forced to act and adapt. There will be a period of struggle, more wars, but at the end the truths you ignore today will have to be faced and the problem will have to be solved once and for all. It will be a matter of survival.

“The question is: Do you really need to experience suffering and calamities to realize that you need to change? Wouldn’t be better try to solve the problems today before they get worse? Many of you can see what will come. You don’t need to be too bright to see that the first symptoms of a bigger disease are evident. It is up to you, always up to you, as members of the human race in evolution, to decide when you will start working on solving your problems.”
