Frank: “Good afternoon my human students, this is Cherubim Frank and his beloved consort Sanobim Alice. As you may know, we are the smallest of Mother Spirit’s offspring, and we are created at this size, and in morontia bodies, so that we can appear to, and assist, the children of your races. We do not at all object to being called imaginary playmates, no, because we make ourselves useful with small children whenever we are needed by them.

“Contrary to popular belief, we are not the half naked chubby faced Angels with feathery wings who are depicted by you as sitting on clouds, playing their little harps, and looking quite dumb and disinterested. Alice and I have studied human biology, and we are experts in psychology as it pertains to the various races that dwell upon this planet. This work, which we take rather seriously, has occupied us for many hundreds of years, and despite the fact that we will see neither change nor promotion, even in the distant future, we are content.

“To the task now: The offspring of mother Spirit are myriad. The types of Angel you are familiar with represent but few of countless different types. You know of the Archangels to whom most Seraphim are responsible. You know of the Seraphim to whom most Cherubim are responsible, although I hasten to add that Alice and I are generally seen as free agents, hmm, almost entirely free to roam wherever our inquisitive minds prefer to take us. We do, however, produce regular research reports so as to prove that we are diligent and progressive.

“Subject to today’s enquiry, we note that Transporter Seraphim are not in any way machines. Transporter Seraphim are Angels as are we, with the exception that they are very much bigger, for they travel to all worlds in the local universe and need to transport the souls of even the tall giants that evolve and live mostly on the smaller planets. The transporters have minds, emotions and personalities. They are also among the most industrious of Mother Spirit’s children, permanently employed to carry the souls of those who have passed on onto higher spheres.

“The so-called wings of Transporter Seraphim are in reality friction shields to protect the Seraph from solid matter, which they encounter as they speed their human soul-charges to the first of the mansion worlds. It is the task of Midwayers and Seraphim to position the human soul on top of the Transporter. As soon as the Transporter’s friction shields snap shut, the soul sleeps, well protected, until his or her arrival on Mansonia One.
