Opening

I am Michael. Good evening, my children. It is with great pleasure that I take these moments to share with you collectively. Know that I am accessible. As you ponder your attitudes and how you will respond throughout your days, know that you are immersed in spirit within and surrounding you.

Lesson

When I lived on this world as a human, the challenge each day was not so unlike yours -- to see what can be done and to do it, if possible, and to engage from a place of connection. Yes, perhaps my inherent nature made this a bit easier for myself, but there were many times I had to grapple with the human condition, the limited thinking, the decisions being made that were not in my control on the human level. What I did have control over, was how I would respond to each situation.

When you are intuitive and open yourself to feel and to share, it can be easy to allow the emotional difficulties of others to affect you, to, in a sense, be absorbed by all that is happening, the difficulties and the strife. But as you relax into the presence of God, it allows you to see with a bit more vision beyond any one circumstance, and to not be pulled so emotionally into the trials and heartaches. Thus, you might be better able to act and react from a higher mind that doesn’t get mired in the emotional side of things, but instead rises above to see what you can offer to the situation and to the situations you face each day.

When you marvel at the ability of other humans, such as Mother Theresa, to do all that she did, or Ghandi, recognize their ability to transcend the direct environment was key to their ability to be of service, to be selfless, and to offer some kindness, some enlightenment in the moments they shared with others.

Closing

Keep this in mind as you go through your days, so that you may expand your vision from one pressing need, hurtful incident, or sad occurrence, to the larger possibilities of expressing the enthusiastic vision of spiritual unity in the family of God. Offer the positive viewpoint and replace the negative feeling with a sense of encouragement over wallowing in regret and fear.

These are the challenges you face in this day and age, not so different from my time. In some sense while you have chaos and turbulence, environmental and social and political issues, know that the upheaval was also attendant then, with less security and more of a struggle to survive each day. So progress has occurred, and progress will continue to occur as long as people such as yourselves turn your inspirations into action and continue moving forward to the higher destinies yet to occur.
