Lesson

Aaron: My friends, regardless of the times you live and the struggles you face, you only really ever have the decisions you can make today. The illusion of dark and dire circumstances and challenges beyond your control is that they consume your choice, filling you with a sense of defeat or lack of purpose.

So often when you look at the periods of your life where you have struggled the most, it is when you have the least sense of hope that you are in control of your own destiny and choices. This can be an individual problem or a mass psychosis culturally, to feel that things are beyond your control and that there is nothing you can do positively to make a difference.

Often because you cannot see what is around the corner there can be a sense of grief, depression, and loss and yet for those stalwart souls who ultimately, even in their struggle, recognize there is a core connection that is attainable it is possible to pull one's self out of this sort of illusory view that you are not the maker of your own destiny in consonance with the leadings of your indwelling spirit.

As you spoke tonight about joy and recognizing the points of joy, this technique allows for one to break out of patterns, to focus on the positive, on what is beautiful and true and good.

To use an example of how the cultural dynamic can shift, think of the Berlin Wall where there was, perhaps, a sign of change, but no one really understood that it could all come down so fast, so quickly, and shift the view from a place of being imprisoned, to a place of being free. These things happen in the world because people such as yourselves are making choices and decisions.

Simeon's mind recalls the recent developments of feeling a sense of being lost in the current political dynamic with a feeling of a lack of choice and how quickly the shifting occurs when decisions are made that change the dynamic, and sometimes it is even a single decision that can create a mass shift in viewpoint.

So I encourage you each, individually, to recognize you do have choices, that regardless of where you are on your journey there is always the opportunity to look for the positive view and take steps. If you are feeling a sense of loss, fear and paralysis, create a few goals and the steps that can lead there and then take one and see where it leads and then see whether you can choose to take another and another.

Urantia moves forward based upon billions and billions of decisions each and every day. Thank you for playing a part in this shift forward for your world by accepting your own course and decisions as being meaningful to the overall flow, however small or large they may be, those choices that you make.

I am Aaron. Thank you for listening. We are present with you if there are any questions.

Dialogue

Q1: Are you guys celebrating Christ Michael's bestowal on Urantia?

Aaron: Yes, we certainly recognize this period of time each year and we also recognize that the emphasis should be on each day as being a renewal in the spirit that's possible as you approach your core of divinity, but we still have some sense of tradition and recognition of the import of this event and its meaning, not only for your world, but for the universe. The celebration and recognition and noting of this time is not simply done on Urantia. It is something that is appreciated beyond your vision of the beings you are aware of. So yes, in short we do celebrate with you our Creator's bestowal.

Q2: Aaron with regard to the lesson, thank you. I know the lesson I gave about joy came from the teachers, but I have been unable to put it into practice myself. But your words lifted me up and made me aware of each choice, whether about perception or some other type of choice. I feel renewed to approach my days with gratitude and see the many blessings and make that my choice. I needed that pep talk and I heard it and appreciated it.

Aaron: Yes, my dear, thank you for your response. We know you are each working in different areas for your progress, but the truth is that this focus back on the decisions you can make each day is the beginning of allowing yourselves to take steps rather than feeling overwhelmed or letting things go because of the circumstances which might arise.

Q2: That's also really helpful. Thank you.

Aaron: Yes.

Closing

I am Daniel. I will conclude this meeting tonight with a few words to each of you. Aaron speaks well for the rest of us in sharing the focus for this evening, but I do hope that you each allow yourself to renew in awe of the reality that the Creator of our universe was born on your world. I cannot count the number of times that I have been renewed in Michael throughout my career. Utilizing the significance of his bestowal allows for you to perhaps recognize what it must be like to become as a babe again, to become renewed and reborn in the spirit, in this spirit of love and kindness, gratitude and mercy. Christ Michael is here for all of us, not just collectively, but each of us individually. Our greatest wish for each of you is to know this yourself, so take the time in the next few days to approach Michael in your private, in your quiet, and allow him to be with you, to truly be with you. Know that you are, although one of a vast number of beings he created, still his most precious child just as each of us are. Let him renew you, just as we all work to let him renew us each day in our work, in our joy, in our lives.
