It appears as though these questions are rhetorical devices used by Jesus to motivate his followers not questions posed to him by seekers of truth. Also, while the literal word 'acceptance' appears in the first reference, the discourse does not seem to relate well to what is generally regarded as the 'topic' of acceptance. As for the second discourse, the term itself does not appear nor is it easy to identify the teaching as related to acceptance as much as it does to the cultural inertia of tradition.
