Hello Gerdean,

In Volume 3, Part 1, lesson dated 11-14-1996, in the 5th (full) paragraph that begins with "Kingdom building thus becomes...", the second sentence says:

"Do not allow your truth to crystallize into a mere social forum."

Is it supposed to be forum or form?

Wondering,

Rob

"forum" is correct. And, unfortunately, I lived to see that happen with the Rio Rancho TeaM. Paula, the eldest among us, had no more interest in the Teacher lessons than the man in the moon but she attended to please her husband Menopah, who was spiritual through and through. In deference to her, specifically, we unwittingly crystallized into a mere social forum, in which we were all so charming but so devoid of the essential grit required to build something beyond niceties. I suppose "social form" would work as well, but it doesn't reflect the travesty as well as "forum" does, imo.

Thanks for asking. G.

Hello Gerdean-

I can appreciate your preference for essential grit over and above the niceties of social forum! In this case, it appears social forum is a way of maintaining social 'form' or appearance, and as you say, so the record will stand though generally I like to include any clarifying correspondence in the discussion page of any lesson for future reference. With your permission, I will do likewise in this case.

Gratefully,

Rob
