Lesson

Thought Adjuster: “Be receptive! Dear child, as you ready yourself to receive higher guidance, you realize that your whole being has to be in a state of receptivity. What does that mean? It means that any level of tension first needs to be released from your being. Your physical body needs to deeply relax so as to step out of the way and be a silent witness of what is unfolding.

“Your emotional being needs also to be settled in a peaceful state that will naturally occur once your physical body has relaxed. Yet, your emotional being is triggered by your thinking process. Therefore it is equally important that you disengage your mind from all worldly thinking. By consciously emptying your mind, you are truly making place for the entry of data external to your small self.

“Relaxed body, peaceful emotions, empty mind — those are the prerequisites to a meaningful teaching session as the Teacher benefits then from your undivided attention — an attention focused on higher connections.

“When you successfully go through that pre-flight checklist, you are indeed ready to receive. Your Temple has been cleansed and all outside noises have been quieted. Spirit can move in and bring His entourage of Love and Peace. Sit in that amazing Presence and allow all the layers of your being to be infused by Him. It is the most precious use of your time. It will carry you throughout the day as you will have consciously established a connection with your Guidance and the process of your Stillness practice is genuinely recharging your spiritual batteries and your physical being as well. This should be your daily spiritual hygiene, which is just as important as brushing your teeth each morning.”
