Opening

PRAYER: Thank you, Mother and Father, for this time with you to receive your words of wisdom and guidance, and to also imprint upon those qualities and characteristics of your nature that are so important for our growth. We invite you to move in us now in the ways you know we need—each one individually. We also thank you for our celestial helpers who can minister in your WILL. Thank you and may it be done now.

Lesson

MICHAEL: Greetings, my beloved children. This is Michael. As we begin our time together in this manner, I invite you to take some deep breaths and turn your attention to the undertaking of self-mastery. We have discussed this with you before, provided you various concepts, shared with you the nature of our beings that you may imprint upon us and help you with the undertaking of our own individual mastering of your systems of consciousness.

I come to you today not only as your Father but as your brother Jesus with whom you share this human life experience. It came to me rather early on in my human life that I was to portray to humanity what you might consider to be the ideal life—the life devoted to doing the Father’s WILL through intelligent spiritual perception. This was something that I was charged to master, and it gradually dawned upon my human mind that this was indeed, not only a marvelous undertaking, but one that required patience, acquired skill, and a far-seeing perspective than what most humans of my day and time were able to perceive.

This is no different today though the context in which you live is broader than my own environment of my day and time. The dynamic remains the same, and it still is and will be for some time to come. The goal of human life is to increasingly come into awareness of the Father’s presence within, to cooperate whole-heartedly with that presence, and to learn those aspects of your own internal workings that you may master yourselves and craft your personalities into a work of art—a soul of great beauty.

Be not daunted by this undertaking, my dear children, for it is noble and good, and you have much help at your disposal. I daresay more than I had in my day and time! And your Mother and I are here to support your efforts and to show you through your daily life’s experience by the presence of the Father Within those areas that need further refinement—a restructuring you might say of your hereditary inner environment to demonstrate the fruits of the spirit out in your daily lives.

So as we move in you today, I invite you to again consider this topic of self-mastery—your own individual undertaking—and to go into those places where the Spirit Within knows where you need further refinement. Take a few moments to secure your internal gaze upon the Father’s presence within, inviting the higher perspective to show you those places where the refining process is still operating to help you perceive with a greater perspective those areas of your life that still have certain tendencies, habits, and desires to be brought into alignment with the Father and His WILL for your lives. Relax. Trust in the Father Within to illuminate your heart and mind as your Mother and I move in you now, my beloved children. (Pause)

Refining the various aspects of your human nature is akin to being a rough block of marble, wherein there is a master sculptor bringing forth the great work of art that is contained within the stone. You might liken the Father as the sculptor and daily living is the chisel. But you have free will and are co-creating this work of art with the Father and you, through your own will, have a certain amount of control over the chisel. Where you will apply it? Where will you see the rough edges that still need the master hands to smooth away the rough places, where the artistry still needs to be refined?

I encourage you to take some time, not only to appeal to the Father, but also call upon my presence in you as your brother Jesus to help you in this refining process. I share my experiences with you. And you only have to ask me to show you how I was able to use this process to refine myself one day at a time under the skillful guiding hand of my indwelling Father fragment. (Pause)

I call upon you then to use me as your model—your role model for the process of refinement in this quest of self-mastery. Everyone needs someone to model certain behaviors for them. In my human life, I had many experiences wherein I needed to master certain tendencies that I saw in myself that still required Father’s guiding hand of refinement. I was given many experiences to share that I had learned from the Father to demonstrate the fruits of the spirit in my actions with my brethren.

It is the same for you. You are given many opportunities to model certain behaviors, and if you think about it from this perspective, you are always doing some type of modeling for your behavior is always on display to those in your families your friends and out into the larger world. What behaviors will you model? I give you this moment to reflect upon your own inner thoughts and feelings in how you demonstrate that out into the world that you may see through the eyes of the Spirit that which requires further refinement.

Everyone needs a role model, and it is unfortunate that in your culture there are so very few individuals who set a high standard for themselves and are willing to make that goal of self-mastery as the goal for living. Therefore you must turn within, come to the Father, come to me, especially as your brother Jesus that I may share my life experience with you and help you in this refining process, that you may master more dimensions of your selves to achieve a great satisfaction in who you are in the co-creative power of the Father Within. (Pause)

My children, you are all works of art in the making. Be not dismayed, disheartened, or disgruntled when you come upon those rough edges of your human nature that still need refinement. This is all normal and natural, and these rough places are there for you discover that you may ask for the Father’s hand to refine you through the process of living and demonstrating more of the fruits of the spirit with your brethren. You are in the process of becoming role models for your brothers and sisters, and they will increasingly look to you as you develop yourselves to become more lovely soul-awakened, spirit-enhanced. They need this now. They need to see more individuals who are dedicated to this refining process of self-mastery, and you will gain much in the striving and learn much about yourself through this process.

As you allow your Mother and me to move in you, continue to take some deep breaths. Let any inner tension begin to melt away through your breathing as there is this movement of energy through you to help you perceive that which is able to be awakened in you of what you need to continue to refine and master in yourselves. (Pause)

Oh my children, you give your Mother and me great delight as we watch you through this process of self-awareness and self-mastery seeing you as you grow. We know your struggles. We know your attempts. We know your desires. We are here to support you through this rugged process of crafting your raw human nature into a work of exquisite mastery, soul attainment, Father-consciousness. You have a commodity within you that will continue to foster this. It is time, and you can take the time you need to master yourselves in conjunction with the presence of your indwelling Father fragments dedicated to escorting you through this process.

I will entertain any questions you may have about what you are undergoing now if you feel so inclined to speak. Otherwise, continue to stay in this meditative space as Spirit continues to move through you and help you reckon inside those places that still need this inner refinement. You may bring forward them if you are ready. (Pause)

Dialogue

STUDENT: This is S. I don't really know what to ask except for, for I'm not on my path from where to take it next and most importantly how to know, kind of along those lines. I understand that there's signposts and guidance on how to be really clear.

MICHAEL: S, my daughter, I thank you for your question, for this a very fundamental part of your process of gaining this greater sense of who you are through self-mastery. The development of your inner life is the foundation upon which all of your development will progress for many, many years to come. You have a direct connection to the Creator of all there is within you in the higher realms of your mind. There is the multidimensional connection you have with the Source of life itself and all life around you, and you are in the process of tuning your attention within that you may proceed in your life in an outward, forward direction.

This inner connection is built upon the firm foundations of love and faith—love for yourself and for your Creator, and faith in the innate process of what you might call, and what we have been speaking of, of self-mastery: learning about those dimensions of your own indwelling nature that you may bring forth more of who you are in conjunction with the Creator's Presence within you. It is not something to be rushed through, but sought on a daily basis to align where you think you wish to go to that place of where the Spirit Within wishes to take you. You might even call it an alignment of your own desires to that of the higher nature of Spirit, and along the way you may see certain signs or perceive certain messages from others about where you go, where to take your life. That can be very helpful along the way, but it should never be substituted for the practice of making contact with your own Spirit and say, "I am here. I am ready to listen. I am willing to see where it is you wish to take me and what it is I need to learn."

This requires patience and trust and love and cooperation at the human end. In my human life as Jesus, I had to learn and achieve certain inner skills at listening and perceiving what it is I was being encouraged and guided to do. And it is no different for you or for any of your human brethren. This is the way, and it is a daily walk of faith, and of unfolding—unfolding of the gifts of you own beautiful Creator bestowed personality and those qualities within you that you that you are now in the process of refining in yourselves.

Many of my children become caught up in the ways of the world, and seek to express themselves through certain professions, or lines of thinking, beholden to certain belief systems. But I say to you, life in the Spirit is far more creative, and you do not need to be constrained by what your culture teaches you. Rather, you can go within and continue to say "I wish to step out of this (to use your common vernacular) ‘box’, and perceive life more form where you are guiding me." Now this takes time, and the development of that internal habit of quieting your mind that you may perceive the Inner Voice more clearly, directly, and consciously.

But it is the surest path, and from that inner place comes an inner assurance, a ring of truth, a feeling of security that you are indeed moving in concert with the Divine Hand and guiding WILL. So this is one of the cornerstones of self-mastery, and it provides the firm foundation upon which you continue to craft and share your God-given personality out in the world with your brothers and sisters. Does this help my daughter?

STUDENT: Yes it helps. Thank you.

MICHAEL: Is there any other elaboration that I might provide to you?

STUDENT: Don't know. I think I'm just ready to have more responsibility or opportunity to share the light that I have with others and help support them in their transformation to their own higher levels. And I do that and it’s terrific. It feels as though I'm ready. It’s as though I'm ready to do that on a higher level. I feel very compelled, very bold to do it, so I guess, I'm wondering how to see the direction could take in which to do that, other than what I do in being just okay with it and patient and knowing that everything is happening in perfect time. But it does feel very strong, very strong to want to do more.

MICHAEL: And that is good, and that is the Spirit urging you forward. But there is also this sense of what you call timing, and that more opportunities will come your way when you are at the point at which you can share more. But I encourage you to pay careful attention to the opportunities that come your way. Sometimes they are indeed very subtle, and you may miss something that is placed before you as an opportunity. Therefore, it is very important to relax your own desires into that of the presence of Spirit so that you become less concerned about the opportunities that you wish to have come your way and to look at what is before you in any given moment.

There is much to consider here, my daughter, and I encourage you to simply relax, enjoy your own inner process of communion with your Spirit and do not fret or be concerned about how you will share the gifts that you have to offer. For indeed, if you are ready and truly willing to walk this higher path, there will be opportunities aplenty, I assure you, for you to demonstrate the fruits of the spirit and be a light to many others. Does this help?

STUDENT: Yes, it does. It helps. I don't really feel as though a needing help. It’s just knowing the signs and knowing where to put; where my energies will be best, you know, where to direct them, where it is best to direct them. It’s good, thank you.

MICHAEL: Give all of your attention to your Spirit and ask for that inner direction to continue to unfold in your mind and it will over time. And be in my PEACE, my daughter.

STUDENT: Thank you.

MICHAEL: Are there any more questions my children?

STUDENT: Yes, this is M. My question is: can you give me any guidance on how to transcend my pattern of poverty financially in my life.

MICHAEL: My daughter, the question of your material well-being and welfare is best addressed as you look within to cooperate with your Spirit and release all doubts and fears about your material welfare. There is much fear within and it is holding you back, and it is not serving you at this time in your development. For fear is spirit poison, and it blocks many an able and noble heart from reaching his or her potential.

As you continue to move through your process of refinement there must come an inner dawning within your own heart and mind that you are worthy of the Father's LOVE, of being loved, and being able to achieve your own ability to stand on your own feet in a material sense. There is still inner refinement that must be achieved at your end of outworking those inner fears and insecurities that hold you back. This is part of the refining process. It is something that you must take within and bring it forth to the Spirit Within and to your Mother and me that you may continue to see yourself through our eyes and be empowered in that way.

It is difficult to encourage people to take a step back from your material difficulties and to recognize that the spiritual development that you are now undergoing is the surest way to be empowered in who you are. Your culture has perpetuated many forms of human unworthiness and self-debasement, and it is time for you to recognize that these are false forms of perception that are still retained in your planet's consciousness, and to increasingly disassociate yourself from them through this practice of daily communion and asking for more of the qualities of Spirit you need to further empower you.

This is the way, and it is important for you to turn your back on this poverty consciousness and increasingly come into that internal place of standing in who you are and recognizing the value of your own innate self that will render you able to move forward in your life out in the material world. Does this help, my daughter?

STUDENT: Yes it helps. It’s just a slow process.

MICHAEL: It is a process and it is up to you how much you gain or lose in this process by the quality of your thinking and how you perceive yourself. So consider this as you read this transcript or listen to the recording again that you may continue to relax into this process of becoming and learning the significant and fundamental lessons of mastering yourself. Does this help, my daughter?

STUDENT: Yes. Thank you. It does help.

MICHAEL: And be in my PEACE.

Closing

My children, I understand your challenges and your desires. For truly you are all on the path, and you will one day achieve this ability to master yourselves and demonstrate more of the fruits of the spirit to your brothers and sisters. There is a rhythm, there is a timing to all things, and more and more your Mother and I desire that you would flow more faithfully, strongly in the sea and the current of divine WILL, that you may come into alignment with the inner direction and presence of Spirit Within you, that all things in you may align and reverberate outward with the LOVE in which you were created.

It is indeed a marvelous and beautiful thing to behold when a human comes into the fullness of who he and she is as a child of God. So be patient in your process. Be faithful in your practice, and you will achieve what you set out to do and you will be mightily satisfied with all of the efforts it took, through the trials and the joys, the tribulations and the triumphs of being human.
