Opening

We may speak on The Interior Journey if you like. It’s a worthy topic, a worthy subject of discussion, one that brings with it much worthy information, needed information. For the interior journey is, in a sense, the name of the game.

Lesson

You start out in this life looking outward, trying to make sense of the various landscapes before you: who is this person? What is this person to me? Why are those people over there? And what are these people doing over here? Does this have to do with me? And while we’re at it, who am I? These are the questions that come to us early on as we are preparing our way into the world at large: the activities we gravitate towards, those things we love, those things we dislike, the people that we love, the people that we dislike. Why do we dislike them? Is it something in them or is it something in us?

The interior journey is the beginning of an answer to all of these questions, for it is all about the interior journey, even though the exterior for much of life takes predominance. But that exterior is merely reflecting what is going on inside. We create so much of what befalls us, and then we sift through it and see what works, what didn’t work, what was appealing, what was upsetting. We begin to find some objectivity within our subjectivity. Our purpose becomes clearer as another’s purpose becomes more distant, becomes less than personal to us.

The highest goal we can achieve in this life is finding the measurement of balance, the proportions of Beauty, Truth and Goodness that constitute our own interior make up. We give great rush to our enthusiasms – we run here, we run there, finding those things which propel us forward, which inspire us. But they are mere reflections of the interior journey. They contribute to it because they bring out more in us, more from within us. So we love this music, that color, these people, those artifacts, this activity. But it is merely a picture of what is going on within us. An illustration. And the sooner we come to realize this, the more powerful our inner journey; the more powerful our life. For we then can turn the process around and become the Creativity that manifested in the various selections of life that we love. We take over; for the interior journey has taught us that it is all the interior journey.

The love that we feel for the world that we see is the very Love that created the world that we see. And when we become one with the Love that created the world that we see, we realize that we are the creator of the world that we see. And the Love that created it is Creation itself. We are not only [one with] this love but we are one with the Creator who is this Love. And as one with the Creator we, of course, create. Once we understand this, the inner journey becomes a panoramic gift back to the world. And the world that we create is the world that we offer back to the Creator of everyone’s world. Of everyone’s worlds. For it has been accurately pointed out, “No two people see the same world.” It would be perhaps more accurately put, “No two people create the same world.”

Closing

The interior journey is all of this. It is life lived to the fullest and gifted back to all those living it with us. Don’t be fooled by all you see. It is a mirage and can be manipulated by how we choose to perceive it. If we allow our Spirit component to translate all that we see before us, then the world becomes transcendent; our interior journey has taken a great leap forward, and the love that we have momentarily become has done its job in helping us along the path of our Interior Journey.
